Service area FAQ

Do I need a permit for a fence?

It depends on your city. Huntsville, Madison, Florence, Fort Payne, and Hartselle typically do not require permits for residential fences. Decatur requires permits. Other cities vary - check the city-specific page or contact us for guidance.

What about HOA approval?

Most newer subdivisions have HOAs with fence requirements. Even in cities without permit requirements, your HOA may have specific rules about materials, colors, and heights. We can help prepare documentation for your HOA submission.

Do you serve areas outside this list?

Yes. We serve the entire Tennessee Valley within about 75 miles of Huntsville. If your city isn't listed, request a quote and we'll confirm availability for your address.

What about lakefront properties?

Lake Guntersville and Smith Lake properties have TVA shoreline regulations. Properties within 250 feet of water may have buffer zone restrictions. We factor these into your fence layout during the estimate.
