These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of rocketcityfence.com (the "Site") operated by Rocket City Fence ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Site, submitting a form, or calling the phone number we list, you agree to these Terms.
1. What this service is
Rocket City Fence is a marketing and referral service connecting homeowners and businesses in the Huntsville, Alabama region with fence installation contractors. When you submit a request through our Site or call our phone number, we share your information with one or more fence contractors in our network so they can contact you about your project.
2. What this service is NOT
- We are not a fence contractor. We do not install, repair, or maintain fences ourselves.
- We are not licensed or insured as a fence contractor. The contractors in our network maintain their own licenses, insurance, and bonds — verify directly with the contractor you ultimately work with.
- We do not guarantee, warrant, or endorse the work of any specific contractor. Quality, pricing, scheduling, and workmanship are between you and the contractor you choose.
- We are not party to any contract you enter with a contractor.
3. How the referral process works
- You submit a quote request through our Site or call our phone number.
- We share your information with one or more fence contractors in our network who serve your area.
- A contractor (or contractors) contacts you to discuss your project.
- You decide whether to obtain a written quote and, separately, whether to hire that contractor.
- If you hire a contractor, you contract directly with them. We are not part of that contract.
4. Your responsibilities
- Verify the contractor's license, insurance, and bonding directly. Alabama contractor licenses can be verified at the Alabama Licensing Board for General Contractors or via local licensing offices.
- Get a written quote and scope of work before agreeing to any installation.
- Understand your HOA and local permit requirements before hiring.
- Provide accurate information when submitting a request.
- Resolve any disputes about workmanship, pricing, scheduling, or contract terms directly with the contractor.
5. Content on this Site
Articles, guides, scenarios, and other content on this Site are provided for informational and educational purposes. Specific project examples and case studies described as "representative" or "composite" reflect the kinds of installations contractors in our network typically perform; details have been generalized or anonymized. Information on this Site is not a substitute for direct consultation with a licensed contractor about your specific project.
Technical specifications referenced (post depths, material grades, code requirements, etc.) are general guidance based on industry standards as we understand them. Your specific project may have different requirements based on jurisdiction, soil conditions, and other factors. Always confirm with your contractor and local building authority.
6. No warranty
THE SITE AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The Site will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Information on the Site is accurate or up-to-date for every situation
- Any specific contractor will respond, provide a quote, or perform satisfactorily
- Any installation cost estimate matches what a contractor will quote for your project
7. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROCKET CITY FENCE, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO:
- Your use of the Site
- Information shared with contractors as a result of your inquiry
- The performance, workmanship, pricing, scheduling, or business practices of any contractor you contact through our referral
- Any contract or transaction you enter with a contractor
Our total liability for any claim related to the Site or service is limited to one hundred dollars ($100).
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rocket City Fence and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claim arising from your violation of these Terms, your submission of inaccurate information, or any dispute between you and a contractor.
9. Third-party content and links
The Site may link to external websites (Google Business Profile, contractor websites, building authority resources). We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or practices.
10. Intellectual property
The Site, including its text, graphics, code, and content, is owned by Rocket City Fence and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may view and share Site content for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce or republish substantial portions of the Site without our written permission.
11. Prohibited uses
- Submitting false or misleading information through forms
- Using the Site to harass or contact contractors for purposes other than genuine fence projects
- Scraping, mass-extracting, or reusing Site content for competing services
- Attempting to circumvent security measures
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page for at least 30 days.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Madison County, Alabama, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.
